Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 2, 2026
This policy explains what information Gavna ("we", "us") handles through the website gavna.digital and through Gavna Music Composer ("the app"). Gavna is the trading name of Ramiro Piedrabuena, Uruguay.
The short version: the app never sends your music, your projects or anything about you or your computer. The website only stores your email if you give it to us.
1. The website
- Social media. If you follow us on Instagram, Facebook, X, Reddit or YouTube, or join our Discord server, those platforms handle your information under their own privacy policies. We only see what they show us, such as your public profile or your messages on our server.
- Messages. If you write to us through the contact form on our website, we receive your name, country, email address, phone number (if you give it) and your message. The form delivers them to our email inbox through Web3Forms, a form delivery service (or, if that service is unavailable, through Netlify Forms). If you write to us by email or WhatsApp, we receive your message and contact details. In every case we use them only to answer you, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
- Hosting. The website is hosted by Netlify, which records basic technical data about each visit (such as IP address, browser and time) for security and to keep the service running.
- The website has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies.
2. What the app sends
Gavna Music Composer works without an internet connection. It connects only to check a license key:
- When you activate a key, the app sends the key and a random installation number, created by the app and not linked to your name, your computer or your Microsoft account. It gets back an activation number.
- About once a week, if you are online, an activated app checks that its key is still valid, sending the key and that activation number.
- When you deactivate the app on a computer, it sends the key and that activation number, so that the activation is freed.
These requests go to our license server (hosted by Cloudflare) and from there to Creem, our reseller, which keeps the record of license keys. Our server does not store them. Cloudflare records basic technical data about each request, such as the IP address and time, and keeps it for a short time for security and troubleshooting.
The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no other telemetry.
3. Information the app keeps on your computer
To work, the app keeps a few things only on your own computer. We cannot see or access any of it: your projects (saved as files wherever you choose), your preferences, your license status, the order of the modules and your recently opened projects, and temporary MIDI files created when you drag something out of the app. You can delete all of it by deleting your project files and uninstalling the app.
4. Buying Gavna Music Composer
Gavna Music Composer is sold through Creem, our reseller and merchant of record: it processes the payment, handles sales taxes and sends you the license key and the receipt, under its own privacy policy. When you buy, you give your name, email address, billing country and payment details to Creem. We never receive your card or bank details.
From Creem we receive your name, email address, country and the details of your order. We use them only to deliver and support your license, to answer your messages, to handle refunds and to keep the records that accounting and tax laws require. We do not sell them or use them for advertising.
5. The Microsoft Store
Downloads and updates through the Microsoft Store are handled by Microsoft, under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We may receive aggregated, anonymous statistics that do not identify you.
6. Children
Our website and products are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
7. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, except what we must keep by law. These rights include those under Uruguayan Law No. 18.331 on the Protection of Personal Data. Write to us at the address below.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
